It may happen that two systems of bodies create equivalent electromagnetic fields, in the sense of exerting the same action upon electrified bodies and currents, while at the same time these two systems do not exert the same gravitational action upon Newtonian masses. The gravitational field is therefore not identical with the electromagnetic field.
